All-USA High School Japanese Speech Contest
Sunday, June 4, 2023, 1PM (PDT)
The Japanese Language Scholarship Foundation will host its 19th annual All-USA High School Japanese Speech Contest
on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
The contest will be held remotely, online through Zoom, this year.
Each participant will be logging in synchronously for this virtual event.
This contest will provide opportunities for high school students studying the Japanese language in the United States
(whose native language is not Japanese) to make presentations in Japanese and to inspire others to improve their proficiency in Japanese.
It is also hoped that the contest will encourage students to further their understanding of Japan, its people, and its culture.
The participants will be carefully selected from among those recommended by the organizers of regional contests held across the country.
